There is a loan program for you. California is offering a program to help first-time homebuyers achieve homeownership. The Dream For All Shared Appreciation Loan program provides up to $150,000 for down payment and closing costs.
To qualify, all borrowers must be first-time buyers, at least one must be a first-generation buyer, and household income must meet certain limits.
Recipients will be chosen by lottery and repay the loan with a share of the equity built when selling the home. Registration opens tomorrow at 8am and closes April 29th at 5pm. Visit www.calhfa.ca.gov/dream/ to register and find an approved lender. This program offers Californians a chance to overcome a major hurdle in purchasing a home.
